Welcome to our private, open-acre dog park in Peyton! This quiet, rural space offers lots of room for your dog to explore, sniff, and run freely. The area is fenced on the north, south, and west sides with T-post and barbed wire, but the east side is open, so this spot is best for dogs with good recall or under close supervision. This is also a great property for training gundogs or bird dogs. With wide open space, varied terrain, and natural distractions, it's perfect for practicing recall, obedience, and fieldwork-style training. Please note: 🐾 There are natural hazards such as cactus, prairie dog holes, red anthills, and prickly brush—please supervise your pup carefully. 🐴 Horses can sometimes be seen on the neighboring property to the north. 🐶 Our personal dog may be outside in the fenced area near the house but won’t be accessible to your dog. 🚫 No people should be visible or around during your visit. 🚗 Park on the north or south side of the brown house when you arrive via the dirt easement road off Judge Orr. This is a peaceful place to let your dog enjoy nature—just be mindful of the environment and boundaries (please don’t cross the pond on the east side).

My own dogs are small dachshunds, so I pay attention to secure fencing and safe access for small dogs as well as large dogs. Ruff 'n Rugged 40 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Calhan

Ruff 'n Rugged's 40 acre dog park is perfect for high drive, high energy dogs. This is a great location to work on your off leash training. It has a neatly mowed area of approximately 2 acres, a mowed, well marked trail which is about 1/2 mile long, with the remainder of the area in native grasses and vegetation. On any visit you may see cottontail rabbits, jack rabbits, pronghorn antelope and other wildlife native to this area. The parking area is a good distance from the entrance so you can unload and load your dogs safely without having to worry about traffic. We have a great view of Pikes Peak, well away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet, peaceful & relaxing. You will enjoy your visit just as much as your dogs.

Training Room West This space is smaller and less private but a great space for those with people loving dogs or those wanting to work on their pup's training privately who may lose focus on you when others are around! Behavior Room This space is a similar size to our Training Room West but is a private space with its own entrance and easy access to the front office if you need to use the bathroom or have a question! This space is climate-controlled and a nice space to play or practice with a small agility course or even introduce your pup to new games such as Nose Work! No One will enter the room you book unless you specifically ask for someone to come in. You will have the space completely to yourself until your booked time is over. Secure 6ft fence, locks securely once you are on the inside of the gate. Mostly wood chips and dirt in the yard and minimal gravel that is bordering the house. Area rug with umbrella-covered patio table and chairs. Electrical outlet available for laptops/phones, WiFi provided. Easy access, private space, quiet neighbors. Great for any dog at any hour of the day. Note: a bit harder for extremely high energy large dogs to run enough laps in the yard to become tired as the yard is not huge, but plenty of sniffs to go around and still a little room to throw a ball!
