Welcome to our private, fully fenced half-acre backyard Sniffspot with a saltwater in-ground pool, just 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh! 🐾 We recently moved into this home, and hosting our own Sniffspot has been a dream of mine after being a Sniffspot guest for years. I’m so excited to share this space with other dogs and their people! 🐶❤️ Dogs and their people are both welcome to enjoy the pool and spacious yard. There are plenty of places to relax, including an outdoor sectional, lounge chairs, and umbrellas for shade. ☀️ For your pup, we provide fresh water and toys. For humans, we provide sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and bug spray. Towels for both people and dogs can be added to your booking as an extra if you’d rather not bring your own. 💦 The yard is regularly treated for ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes using pet- and environmentally friendly products, so you can enjoy your visit with peace of mind. Please pick up after your dog before you leave so we can keep the space clean and enjoyable for everyone. Max number of guests allowed at a visit is 6 people. Entire wooden privacy fenced, low grass backyard with a secure gate. Lots of room for fetch! Hose/spigot on back of house to fill the provided dog water bowl as needed. Please add the appropriate "extra" to your booking if dogs will go into the pool. An adult is permitted to enter the pool if needed to supervise a dog that is learning to swim. Please note that we do not operate this primarily as a pool rental site (please use apps like Swimply for this purpose), and this is not a location to bring children to swim. Our property covers the creek by the road and extends into woods that are not used by anyone. Our friendly cat may join you on your walk, or you could get quacked at by my ducks! I can secure the cat and ducks if needed, but my chickens are very independent and tend to stay close to the house. I am home most of the time, and usually outside to give walking tips or point out landmarks; also for any problems! My yard is not part of the site! I would prefer if you would keep your dogs secure around my home and pet poultry, until you get down to the creek/woods.

While the pasture is uncut and has tall native grasses for your dog to run through, the perimeter of the pasture is well maintained and mowed so that you can clearly see where you're walking. The perimeter is also bordered by native trees and perennials which host a variety of birds (herons, osprey, eagles, hawks, ducks, geese, and many songbirds), as well as butterflies (monarchs and swallowtails). A large portion of the field is bordered by the Rocky River.
