Dog and Pony Acres

5 acres of reclaimed soybean field, that we fenced in for an additional pasture for our horses. When we fenced, we decided to use no-climb fence so we could have foster dogs explore off-leash. There are 5 gates in the fence, of which only the gate closest to the creek is not padlocked. Depending on the time of year, the prairie grasses and flowers are between ankle-high to knee-high. We do have a bench in the back of the pasture (which is normally in the shade of the trees), and the horse run-in is pretty useful as a rain shelter if needed. Feel free to let your doggo dig til their heart's content, and theres plenty of branches to chew on. There is a creek to cross between the parking area (our driveway) and the pasture, which is normally ankle-high, so we recommend either water shoes or muck boots to cross. Its roughly a 200-250ft walk from the driveway to the back pasture, and youre bound to see our lazy freeloading horses (fenced) and hear our dogs barking (also fenced). Needless to say, leashing your dog(s) from the car until the gate is closed, is required.

Open Field Blockers Run (water) Access

Private property - 1 acre unfenced access to Blockers Run; maintained creek bank and bed with egressed slopes or step access, fire pit/tiki torches (wood and matches may or may not be provided - please bring your own just in case), seating, mowed open field. Help yourself to supplies in the brown storage bench while you visit! Parking off-road through grasses in field just before the bridge, can park down along creek or up top in the open field. Please do not allow yourself or dogs to go up past the pallet garden. Pine trees and tall grass alongside are property boundaries. We own part of the property across the creek up to the birch tree cluster, there are some pathways cut over there, but heavy in poison ivy! Please pick up after your dogs. Trash can is not provided due to wildlife. Property near house monitored with security cameras. Not accessible during or immediately after heavy rainfall due to water safety.

Set back from the road, this area is one of the more relaxed and secure parts of the property — great for dogs who like to wander and sniff at their own pace. 🦆 Farm Animals We have free-range chickens and ducks! If your dog(s) are animal-friendly, we're happy to let them roam for the full farm experience. Kids accompanying you are more than welcome to visit with the animals. Once you turn in the property private drive, you will see the side yard to the left, a big evergreen tree at the end of the driveway. This is where I would like visitors to park on the driveway next to this tree. The property line is defined by neighbors barns, fences & tree lines that surround the property. The property doesn't include the field to the right past the property tree lines. Do not use it. The tree line literally outlines a big rectangle kinda shape of the property. There is a small creek on the other side of the trees but it is not a part of the property. Cannot use it. There is also in ground pool that is gated off by a fence. The valley connects with side yards, back yard, & the hill yard to the right of the backyard. I do not mind if dogs run freely as long as they stay on the property. The valley is half mowed due to fallen trees. Don't go past the fallen trees, the grass is high there. Neighbors do have dogs but never unattended nor do they use the property. In spring, I plan to fence in a part of the yard with things for dogs. The property does have water fun once the weather breaks. I do have a towel, plastic bags you can use for droppings that I will place out on the front porch by the trash cans. Please use the blue trash can to dispose of your pets poop after sealing it securely. I will update when seasons change of what will be accessible to you & your fur babies!🫶 Did I mention it is a very peaceful, natural environment. Dogs love to run around the property with supervision.

Located at Grins & Pickin's CampFarm, an outdoor recreation facility located just outside of Marengo, OH. Dogs love all the smells here! We are rooted in nature! There are paths, trails, woods, a creek, a fishing pond and fields to explore, run and play. You may park in the parking lot at the back of the driveway near the outbuildings. A small trash can and water dish will be provided. There is a map of the grounds on the bulletin board and you will notice that the property is rectangle shape with half of the grounds green space and the other half wooded. If you unleash your dog, it must obey when you call it back because if it goes into the neighbor's yard, I will have to close my spot.
