Bacon & Eggs 30 Acre Farm & Private Forest Trail - Oregon City

Partially Fenced
10 acres

We offer a dedicated 10 acre sloped pasture for walking, running, ball play, etc. also a trail hike through the woods up to a mile. (Be aware of uneven ground and blackberries; some thorns in mulch). The 30-acre property is fenced and isolated private space. The gate to the road is open for access but a good distance from the fields (so not closed while visiting.). The farm is a working farm so you may see workers and equipment away from the dedicated dog areas. Yes, part of our property has neighbors along the trail but fencing is in place and neighbors are seldom around. Water for dogs, trash can for baggies, picnic table and dog toys are provided. There are livestock fenced off from the trail, and some electric & electric mesh fences are in use.

Tail Waggers private dog park

Unfenced
15 acres

Your attendance has allowed us to continue development of our Disney Land for dogs and being a contributor to the Portland Humane Society. Toward that end this is what we have to offer at present with more to come. Two main walking trails, with two offshoot trail loops at present. Signage is there at each to help you in and out of each. Each has a selection of walking sticks at the trailhead, should you choose to use them. Appropriate good grip footwear is recommended especially during our monsoon season. Trail one, the shorter of the two, is about 25 minutes give or take, and takes a degree of dexterity more than trail too. Trail two contains two loops trails that take 30 to 45 minutes there and back to the parking area. The trail has two rest areas to sit with umbrellas to keep the rain off when needed. Trail 2, loop two has large Vern plant areas like you may have seen in the Jurassic Park movies. There are (2) Two parking areas, one much larger for up to 25 cars to accommodate larger group events. The 2nd is at the top of the hill b4 you go down into valley were you will see a sign letting you know that if your early you can park there till your designated reservation time. At the bottom you will find a porta potty for your convenience with a lighted pathway after the sun has set. For your convenience you will find seven Poop Depots with bag dispensers throughout the park. A guest ( Mark) donated a fire hydrant as a much appreciated pee station for many pups. There are two water play areas. The preferable one is now down by our inlet water pipes. Its a shallow pool area feed by spring water, so there is no concern about algae. We call it the pup self wash area because it’s only belly deep and is an absolute favorite of the pups to play in. It’s also proved to help pups who might be afraid or timid of playing in water to investigate it a little more. The other is the larger man-made pond area. This at one time was a large beautiful pond, that we had invested a large amount of money to development a Doggie Dock Dive. We had also a selection of small watercraft to help acclimate pups to being on the water with a parent. It included a selection of different size lifejackets for parents and pups. Floatable toys for retrieval were nearby. All that however became unusable because our neighbor who controls the water level with a dam did not like us having a private dog park and said if we didn’t shut it down he would just empty the pond, which he ultimately did and mow as a result has become a mud flat. We have a solution that will bring the level back up and have set up a Go Fund Me to help us with that expense. Any donation would receive a gift certificate to show our appreciation. They can use it for their own use or it can be given to a non Sniff Spot member to use at our park for various functions. Our Muddy Paw Spa has multiple cleaning brushes, paw wash cups, a spray hose and the more favorite is a water spray wash glove that sprays water out of the palm of the glove. This is an important option especially during our monsoon season to clean pups and shoes before getting into the car. Included, are multiple towels to dry off your pup, and a close line to hang the wet towels on to dry off. In the area where you see all the picnic tables, you will see a Doggie Dig Box filled with beach sand for those pups who have the need to just dig. Near to that is an upright 50 Pd “Tug of War” that big pups love. Next is a childrens play area to play in and on. We installed a tetherball for the children, but soon learned that the pups love playing with it, who would have guessed? Down from the children’s play area is a comprehensive agility course with all the obstacles that you would see on the YouTube obstacle course events. Love seeing the pups racing around that. Multiple toy stations. If on your visit, you would like to donate unused toys for other pups to enjoy that would certainly be appreciated. A long mowed area above the pond for long distance ball and frisbee retrieval. They’re also a few frisbee catchers there to practice frisbee throwing accuracy. Long, medium range and putter frisbees are provided. A 10 x 10 doggy dig sandbox for those pups to enjoy digging. A tug-of-war for those pups will enjoy a good tug. The picnic area has been expanded to accommodate pup, birthday parties, pup, groups, and family gatherings. For those bringing young children, a swingset. Solar lighting around trees, parking area and the porta potty will help to illuminate these areas when darkness falls. There are water dispensers with water bowls. There is another area being developed presently that will become an urban agility course.

A new forest has been planted, and the baby trees we ask to be left at peace to grow. We might be out working somewhere else on the farm and hope to see the blackberries slowly diminish, making this place more hospitable every year.

Nehemiah lane dog farm

Unfenced
30 acres

The property includes 30 unfenced acres of tall grass, trees, and quiet trails. The main trail makes up the perimeter of the property. It is 1 mile long and you will need to traverse underneath the bridge to Accsess the second half. There is limited access to the Yamhill River on both sides of the bridge. Some areas will be swampy during the winter and spring, especially in the lower sections. Please be aware of common forest hazards such as blackberry bushes, poison oak, nettles, and the occasional downed tree. There are no homes, restrooms or residents on the property only neighbors and a small garden area. You are welcome to explore both sides of the bridge. While there are "No Trespassing" signs posted near it, they are only intended to discourage the local homeless community. During the summer and fall, feel free to enjoy the fruit growing throughout the property most of which is at the far NW end of the grass road near the entrance. Deer and a variety of birds also call this place home and are best left undisturbed. You will find a couple of chairs and a small table set out for you to enjoy a quiet moment or watch the sunset. Please be respectful of our neighbors and remember to pick up after yourself and your dogs. Much of the property is being reforested in partnership with the USDA. / NRCS and is intentionally wild. If you bring kids feel free to use the swings at your own risk. Have a great time, Joshua

Private Forest Trails with Warm Water Dog Wash – 5 Acres

Unfenced
5 acres

About Us & Bentley We live on 7 forested acres near Banks/Hillsboro with our heeler mix, Bentley, who loves greeting new pups. We are conviently located just off hwy 26, 15 min from 185th and Intel. We opened up our trails so other dogs can enjoy the same space he does. Happy to chat about your pup's needs before you visit! About the Space Explore 5 acres of well-maintained forest trails winding through hilly, wooded terrain — the kind of place where the light filters through the canopy and your pup can really run and frolic to their heart's content. The trails loop extensively, giving dogs plenty of ground to cover without ever feeling repetitive — lots of turns, dips, and rises to keep a curious nose busy. Amenities: -Hot water spigot to rinse muddy paws. Shampoo provided for post-hike washes — please check the ingredients, and feel free to bring your own if your pup has sensitive skin -Cozy forest seating for a quiet moment on the trail -Table and chairs at the entrance for check-in -Doggie bags and dog cookies provided -The restroom may not always be available but our house is located 5 min from both the town of Banks and the town of North Plains. -Conveniently located off Hwy 26. 15 min from Intel, Costco and 185th. Trail Terrain These trails are a genuine workout — we use them for exercise ourselves. Expect rolling hills and climbs, with short flat stretches in between. Prefer something easier? Stick to the center trail, which stays mostly flat. Plan for at least 20 minutes for a full loop at a relaxed pace. House Rules Dogs must stay leashed until you reach the off-leash sign before the trails begin. Our property line is marked with pink ribbon — please stay on our side and don't let your pup cross it. Property is not fenced. Off-leash dogs should have solid recall, especially near the road. Terrain is hilly with uneven forest footing — solid shoes recommended (though we've done it in flip flops). Please clean up after your pup — waste bags provided, or bring your own. You can leave the bags on the trails and we will dispose of them. Stay on marked trails and out of garden beds, greenhouse, and planted areas. No access to the hot tub area. No smoking or open flames.

55Lucy and I walked Trail 1 on our visit. The trail is so well maintained and easy to navigate. She had a blast running around chasing after elusive chipmunks!

55Wow. Just wow. We had the absolute best time here! There is so much love and care in this area. I booked for 1.5 hours but honestly could spend all day there. My pup Jimmy was running and twirling as soon as he got out of the car. I can’t wait to come back. It is a total gift to have this space to take our dogs. I’m so excited to become a loyal patron!

55Our first trip here was amazing and perfect for our cattle dog! He loved playing with the toys and getting into the water. We also loved hiking one of the trails. He is reactive around cars so this secluded place was just perfect!

55Wow, so many more updates and improvements again!! Yall really put so much time and work into this place, and we appreciate it so much. Our favorite features were the water spots (pond & pup / human self wash) and trails again. The trail system has been greatly expanded!! And the markings (signs, flags) made it super easy to follow the trails. Also, so many helpful trail features like bridges or steps, even a handrail. I also really appreciated the urban agility features. Merlin is too nervous for the main agility course, but enjoyed exploring these new features near the watering hole! He was able to explore new walking textures and heights/ramps, which is so great for fearful/reactive dogs to gain confidence. Thank you!! We missed this place. It was so lovely to be back.

55We had the best time at their sniff spot. The directions were great. It was easy to find we didn’t run into any other dogs. We were warned about the mud and planned accordingly. Nora had the time of her life. She even did her first agility course! A rescue dog’s dream.

55This is where your dog can be a dog - free to explore, sniff and roam. Wander along beautiful, well marked wooded trails built for shared adventure, with plenty of new sights and scents along the way. After your walk, your puppy can cool off with a refreshing dip in the pond - the perfect end to an outdoor adventure.

55My sister has taken her pup to this Sniffspot several times. I now understand why she loves it so much. Our dogs had a blast exploring the trails and pond. Next time we’ll book a longer one. An hour was not enough as there is so much to do. This is definitely my new favorite. ❤️

55Magical place . Dogs had a blast . Fresh water self wash was a hit with the dogs and they enjoyed playing and wading in it to cool off. The larger body of water had some deep mud at the moment which was hard for the big dogs to navigate. Sunk to their bellies. Assume it’s seasonal , just had a ton of rain. Wonderful agility and parkour areas and trails . So many activities and areas to explore . Huge bonus was the rinsing station before heading home .Overall fabulous hosts and wonderful addition to our day . Thanks!

55Great space for hiking, sniffing, and running! My goldens had a blast - especially towards the end when they ran upon the pond. Very easy to find and park too. I give an extra shout out for the 'washing station' - baby pool w/towel. It was the cherry on top for an owner of two mud loving goldens!

Frequently asked questions about Mulino dog hiking trails

Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in Mulino?

Private dog hiking trails in Mulino eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Mulino's 25 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Mulino dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?

Mulino dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Mulino dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Mulino dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?

Mulino owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Mulino reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Mulino dog hiking trails?

Yes! Mulino dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many Mulino dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Mulino dog hiking trails good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Mulino dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Mulino avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Mulino dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Mulino dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Mulino dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Mulino dog owners say about dog hiking trails?

Reviews of Mulino dog hiking trails consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Sauvie Island, Riverfront, Field, 40 Acres, swing on River is particularly praised in Mulino. Read reviews to see real experiences from Mulino dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Mulino dog hiking trails?

Mulino hosts maintain their own dog hiking trails and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Mulino hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Mulino dog hiking trail listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
