The yard is yours and yours alone for your entire visit — no other dogs sharing the space, no strangers walking up, no surprises around the corner. No chemicals. Ever. 🌱 This yard is completely fertilizer-free and pesticide-free — nothing sprayed, nothing treated, ever. If your dog is a grazer, has allergies, or is sensitive to what's underfoot, they can sniff, roll, and nibble to their heart's content without you having to wonder what they're picking up. Easy to find, even easier to love: enter on the right side of the house and look for the Sniffspot sign. The gate is one of the smoothest you’ll ever use — seriously, it’s a delight. Morning visits are especially magical. The sun is gentle, the vibe is peaceful, and street parking is usually a breeze. Street sweeping is 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays on my side of the street and Wednesdays on the opposite side, so please check the signs when you park. Most pups settle right in and forget all about it — and if your dog needs extra buffer, mornings tend to be the quietest. 🐕 There’s a water spigot on site to keep your pup hydrated. Just turn it on slowly so you don’t end up wetter than your dog! 💧 We also have a self-service pool on site if your pup wants to cool off! It’s not pre-filled — you’re welcome to fill it yourself (it takes about 10 minutes to fill completely). Please drain it after use and give it a quick rinse so it’s fresh for the next sniffer! This well maintained, lush yard was designed with kids and dogs in mind with a tree house, swing, plenty of sun and shade, water hose and many amenities, as well as seating and refreshments for dog parents. Just let me know what you need, and we can probably accommodate. I can’t control the weather, but it’s usually perfect around here anyway!

Fully fenced backyard by Sunset Blvd in Silverlake. Close to DTLA, Hollywood, etc. Large backyard area with astroturf grass, area with mulch dirt, etc. There’s 3 levels so it’s a great place for dogs to run and jump around. Plenty of shade from trees and lounge chair seating for the pup’s humans. Please keep in mind: there are a number of stairs to get to the backyard area (see pictures!). The backyard also has levels that are not fenced and there are different types of terrain in the spot (astroturf, rocks, dirt, etc).

Rancho Caninos Dog Park

Rancho Caninos Dog Park is located at 30940 Hawthorne Blvd in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The park is fully fenced and open from 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset. Dog owners are limited to a maximum of 2 dogs and must clean up after their pets. Dogs are required to wear current license and vaccination tags, and are only allowed in designated areas based on their size. Aggressive dogs and females in heat are not permitted. Leashed dogs should be accompanied by an adult and are not allowed in the park. The city reserves the right to eject anyone not complying with the rules.
