We were able to run our dog a little bit to practice her recall, but the fence wasn't high enough for me to feel comfortable leaving her off leash for long (she is energetic and agile and I fear it would only take a squirrel for her to soar over the fence). Our dog was too busy sniffing the parameters to do any digging, but we appreciated the shovel, just in case. We noticed tennis balls (not our dogs thing) and poop not picked up by someone before us. She slept hard that night, so I think it was a great success. Thank you for opening up your property to us!Jen P.

55This was our first time going to a sniff spot and it was fabulous. My dog suffers from extreme anxiety and won't do neighborhood walks so we are trying sniff spots as an alternative. Grannys was a great spot with plenty of room and toys for us to enjoy. We will definitely be coming back!Heidi A.

There is a small gap in the gate that might be a problem for small dogs but our pupper didn't even notice it and had a great time. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
