If you need a quiet place for your dog to roam and swim like our dogs do, please enjoy! (My dogs will be put away and we no longer have birds…just a cute photo for reference/view of the property) Note: the field with the golf course and volleyball is not our property. One of our neighbors has a dog that is occasionally out which we have no control over, however, there are 8 acres to explore so if you see his dog outside on his property, it’s easy to avoid an interaction. In the summer, the wire fence around the garden in the front field is electric to keep out deer, won’t hurt your pup but will definitely give them a startling zip if they touch it. If we are home we will sometimes be out on our deck, mostly in the summer, but our house is up on the hill and with 8 acres to explore and the creek running through the center of our property, it’s easy to still have your privacy.

On the east side of the property, we’ve just planted a couple of apple and peach trees. Please be careful as we have surrounded one of the peach trees with logs in an attempt to keep deer from destroying it. If your furry friend has never seen chickens well, get ready because we have two chicken coops on site. The coop closest to the wooded area contains two Silkies, one Lavender Orpington and one Midnight Majesty Marians. The coop closest to the garage features two Rhode Island Reds and two Golden Seabrights. Fun fact, Seabrights are the only true bantam breed. Feel free to park in the grass next to the main driveway. You should have both flea and tick medications up-to-date since we have an abundance of deer, squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits that often walk through area in the early morning and evening. Please bring your own water for the dogs, though a hose is available near the garbage cans at the back of the house.. I hope you enjoy your stay!
