55We had a great time in the snow! The mix of field and tree cover is always a win! We also appreciate the hosts help in guiding our car up the hill. It wasn't quite as ready for the snow as Beau was! Tracy J.

55Great space and great host! Listen to her when she says the GPS won’t get you to the right place 😂. We had trouble finding it but she let us stay the full hour since there was some time before the next reservation. Will definitely be back when we’re in the area!Lara Z.

55Really fun place full of different terrain for the dog to explore. Big open field for running. Wooded trails to explore. Our girl had a blast and so did we.
A little tricky to find but once there super great. Jenny G.

55We always enjoy this large, peaceful property. My dog gets his zoomies out in the large grassy field and expends the rest of his energy sniffing in the woods. Even though it isn’t fenced and there are a couple neighbors we rarely see anyone. And even if the neighbors are out, the property is large enough we just stay on the other side of it. The property is also adjacent to a gravel processing company. Until recently they weren’t working close to the Sniffspot but as of late they have expanded their range and were working close to the boundary of the Sniffspot this time. If your dog would be bothered by the sounds of large equipment I’d recommend keeping them on a lead when approaching that side of the property. Overall, this is a great Sniffspot that we return to often. Thanks Leslie for sharing it with us!Bonnie B.

55This spot has a variety of terrain..wooded trails large field and plenty of smells! It's not physically fenced, but there's enough area ...bordered by a quary like work in progress on the wooded side and another farm feel property. We felt safe and and secure..no other dogs, wild or domestics during our visit. The grass field was a little tall for us humans lol....but amazing for our pups..they were able to successfully retrieve their ball every time..and stop for a lazy roll! We had a great time. Sandi R.

55Nice property... wide open spaces and trails for zoomies and exploring. Pup(s) should have good off leash control for this sight.
Maybe a little difficult terrain wise for anyone with physical limitations but a great place for some off leash exercise.Kimberly S.

55This is lovely setting, open meadow and trails through the trees. I put my dog on a 20' line and let him follow his nose. He had fun. It's not exactly the easiest to find/get to, but well worth it. Owners were friendly, communicative and courteous.Catherine W.

55We enjoyed tromping around the woods exploring, sniffing and playing. Plenty of room to play ball, work on recalls or play hide n seek. All sizes of dogs and humans will enjoy it. Tired dogs and happy humans.Kristen D.

FAQ about our Sumner dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
