55Super clean and very friendly and no cactus like other sniff spots I’ve been to! Our two dogs loved having room to run around with out other dogs around. Nice and secure fencing and you drive into the property before letting the dogs out so good for dogs to who like to bolt once out of the car. Haven B.

55Great spot with lovely views. My dogs had a blast. Very clean and peaceful. I really appreciated that even the small openings in the fence were blocked off- so often properties are not actually small dog-friendly, but this one was! It felt very safe to let my 8 pound chiweenie roam the fence line. Shelby E.

55The host was very nice and helpful letting us in the gated area. The field is secure and allowed a large area for our dog to run full out. There's not much shade so bring a hat and sunglasses. The host provides water and amenities. Area is well kept. We'll definitely be visiting often!Mary H.

55I was so excited to find this place in Elizabeth. I just broke my leg and live in a townhome. Finding a spot I could let my two high energy Pyr Sheps run was problematic. I usually take them for 2 mile hikes every day, but with a broken leg I couldn't. Buttercup had a nice 2 acre area that was fenced with a 4' fence. There was a nice dog next door that my dogs ignored and the owner's sweet cattle dog mix came out and tried to play with my two who are mostly interested in sniffing and playing frisbee. There are a couple of goats in a pasture next door, so probably not a good place for a high prey drive dog that could jump fences. My dogs herd sheep, so they knew to ignore them unless given a command. The goats mostly stayed on the hill away from the fence. Selena was wonderful about welcoming us to her house and it was fun to talk "dog" with her. I would highly recommend Sniff Spot and Buttercup playing.Melinda H.

55Serena was so sweet and helpful! She has a huge area for the dog(s) to play in that includes different smells and objects. She was very welcoming to her home and was very nice with my reactive dog. There was a huge bowl of water too available for my dog, as well. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thanks so much Serena!Jenna R.

55this place has quickly earned a spot in my top favorite sniffspot locations. there’s more than enough space to fetch, wander & sniff. plus some very funny goats who kept some of the dogs entertained for the majority of time. the host was great, super friendly and welcoming. she provided water bowls and let her dogs out to play after making sure they would all make a good play group. they all had a great time and we will definitely be returning!Andrea J.

FAQ about our Elbert dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Elbert area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 166 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 23 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
