Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small spring-fed pond and access to South Prairie Creek. Since the creek has a variable current, it may be best for larger dogs. The pond is ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. There are some logs and rocks to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. We make a constant effort to subdue the blackberries but you may encounter strong-willed vines. Please avoid the dead tree area. There is a shed with supplies where you park.

Magical Mossy Forest

Unfenced
5 acres

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. Woodland Tranquility Pathways - find solitude!

Partially Fenced
5 acres

Off-grid Sniffspot location in rural Snohomish Washington! You will have the entire 5-acre property to yourself to enjoy! This part of our property is only used for Sniffspot guests. Would be perfect for those that don’t want to interact with others (i.e. cars driving by, strangers, the neighbors...). Safe place for adventurous individuals that prefer to explore alone with their doggo(s), a doggie daycare retreat (we are very popular with dog walkers and their packs of furry clients), a memorable late evening of star-gazing, or a safe place for a highly reactive dog to have fun. Details: 5 acres, off-grid experience (no power) with it’s own private entrance. Secluded, native woodland experience with mowed grass. Two grassy sloping yard areas, a covered shelter with a table and chairs and “Tranquility Trails” that loop up the hill to a shady, fern filled, mossy ravine with a seasonal stream.. There are (overgrown) cottage style gardens near the Parking Area. During your visit, feel free to pick wild blackberries, apples or roses — or pull weeds — if that’s fun for you. 😉. This location is very relaxing. Plan for a couple hours or more to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. TIP: if you have any concerns about your pup(s) going down the driveway, feel free to close the gate for added safety. Note: We are raising money to renovate the cottage located on the property by hosting a Sniffspot. Please do not explore inside the house, a roof collapse happened before we could arrange for it to be replaced.

55This sniffspot is straight-up magical! I mean, if I had a dollar for every time I felt like I was in a fairy tale, I’d be rich enough to buy a lifetime supply of dog treats. John is an absolute gem—like the friendliest tour guide you could ever ask for! He was so kind and even showed us around when we first arrived, complete with a copy of a hand-painted map that made me feel like I was on a treasure hunt for belly rubs! There were so many trails and spots for the pups to get their bellies wet; it was like a doggy water park minus the crowds and questionable hygiene! The dogs had the absolute best time exploring every sniff spot they could find. They were so curious about the farm animals, I half-expected them to start negotiating for a pet goat! This place is immaculate and well-maintained. Watching my little dog run and hop along the trails filled me with pure joy. And get this: even my older dog, who usually prefers the leisurely stroll of a wise sage, took the lead on a trail! I could practically see her thinking, ‘I’ve got this, folks!’ It was a day of adventure and happiness, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend time with my furry companions. Thanks for creating a magical space where even the most laid-back pups can feel like trailblazers!

55This spot was wonderful. John met us when we arrived, gave us a map, and walked us to the primary starting point which led to many trails in the woods. The dogs appreciated lots of space to run and multiple points of creek access, and the humans appreciated the multiple benches to sit, enjoy the solitude and enjoy watching the pups. It was a wonderful discovery!

55It was a glorious day out at Spring Acres! Sunny, almost warm, with trillium in bloom. The pups had a ball, playing chase in the upper field, zooming up and down the trails, jumping over logs and creeks, and even a little wrestling. The forest was alive with wild scents and excitement! Can't wait to come back tomorrow!

55This sniffspot never fails to impress us! The pack was super busy, following their noses, climbing up boulders and along fallen trees, exploring mossy stumps, splashing in the creeks, playing chase in the open fields, and zooming along the trails. They were tuckered out afterward, and slept the whole hour back to West Seattle. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous property with us!

55We had a great time! The property is gorgeous! Creeks and trails in beautiful old growth forest! Please note: you have to keep your dog leashed and walk through a small field full of free range, very calm, very well behaved farm animals (turkeys, cows, goats, chickens, rabbits) to get to the Sniffspot. My dogs could care less but I see how it could be a problem for some.

It was clean and John was very helpful providing a map to the property and showing us in. Our dog, Gracie, had the time of her life. I’d say it’s been her favorite spot yet!

55This is a gorgeously maintained spot with well marked paths, charming wood bridges and signage. We all (dog and hoomans) enjoyed the natural setting thoroughly. We plan to return and stay longer so we can enjoy a picnic as there are also many benches sprinkled throughout and even a small cabin with a covered porch! Not only is there a flat grassy area for ball play but some hiking up to the Pup Shed where you can find birding guides and walking sticks (next to the optional parking for return visitors). It’s clear that John and Stephanie have put a lot of thought and effort into making this spot safe, welcoming, and enjoyable.

Frequently asked questions about Maple Valley dog hiking trails

Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in Maple Valley?

Private dog hiking trails in Maple Valley eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Maple Valley's 25 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Maple Valley dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?

Maple Valley dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Maple Valley dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Maple Valley dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?

Maple Valley owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Maple Valley reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Maple Valley dog hiking trails?

Yes! Maple Valley dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many Maple Valley dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Maple Valley dog hiking trails good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Maple Valley dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Maple Valley avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Maple Valley dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Maple Valley dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Maple Valley dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Maple Valley dog owners say about dog hiking trails?

Reviews of Maple Valley dog hiking trails consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Black Pond Farm - Explore Trails/Woodland Hiking! is particularly praised in Maple Valley. Read reviews to see real experiences from Maple Valley dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Maple Valley dog hiking trails?

Maple Valley hosts maintain their own dog hiking trails and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Maple Valley hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Maple Valley dog hiking trail listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
