Magical Mossy Forest

Unfenced
5 acres

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. Please visit our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555379018442 Let us know if you have any questions. Synchronized play bowing to you!

Woodland Tranquility Pathways - find solitude!

Partially Fenced
5 acres

Off-grid Sniffspot location in rural Snohomish Washington! You will have the entire 5-acre property to yourself to enjoy! This part of our property is only used for Sniffspot guests. Would be perfect for those that don’t want to interact with others (i.e. cars driving by, strangers, the neighbors...). Safe place for adventurous individuals that prefer to explore alone with their doggo(s), a doggie daycare retreat (we are very popular with dog walkers and their packs of furry clients), a memorable late evening of star-gazing, or a safe place for a highly reactive dog to have fun. Details: 5 acres, off-grid experience (no power) with it’s own private entrance. Secluded, native woodland experience with mowed grass. Two grassy sloping yard areas, a covered shelter with a table and chairs and “Tranquility Trails” that loop up the hill to a shady, fern filled, mossy ravine with a seasonal stream.. There are (overgrown) cottage style gardens near the Parking Area. During your visit, feel free to pick wild blackberries, apples or roses — or pull weeds — if that’s fun for you. 😉. This location is very relaxing. Plan for a couple hours or more to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. TIP: if you have any concerns about your pup(s) going down the driveway, feel free to close the gate for added safety. Note: We are raising money to renovate the cottage located on the property by hosting a Sniffspot. Please do not explore inside the house, a roof collapse happened before we could arrange for it to be replaced.

Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small spring-fed pond and access to South Prairie Creek. Since the creek has a variable current, it may be best for larger dogs. The pond is ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. There are some logs and rocks to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. We make a constant effort to subdue the blackberries but you may encounter strong-willed vines. Please avoid the dead tree area. There is a shed with supplies where you park.

Lake Cavanaugh K9 Ranch

Unfenced
22 acres

22 forested acres with private trails and an open field area located in the power line clearing. Includes private land access to state forest trails with views. Once you park you will see the trail entrance into the forest in front of you. Take the trail down to the creek. Water levels in the creek vary depending on the time of year. Cross the creek using the foot bridge and head through the forest. In about .3 miles you will come out into the powering line clearing. Feel free to explore everything in front of you and to the left (north). There are several wide open grass spaces in the power line to play fetch or just let the dogs run and be dogs. I will send you detailed instructions for the hike up the mountain upon request. This is a real hike and I recommend hiking attire. Please bring water for yourself and your dogs. The hike is about 3.5 miles and 800 feet of elevation gain. I recommend booking at least 2 hours to complete. If you want to hang out and enjoy the views you may want to book more than 2 hours.

Hike up the mini forest

Fully Fenced
9.5 acres

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may chain the gate & unleash your doggies right after the bridge. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. As mentioned, there are cabins on the property. Sniffspot is unavailable if the Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out and Search listing through the hipcamp site. Saturdays are usually blocked IF there's Hipcamp bookings. I would Unblock the hours for Sniffspot use if that day isn't booked for Hipcamp, so please try to check back, who knows that day might be available! Anyway, hope you enjoy your little 'hike up the mini forest’…

A walk in Dons woods

Fully Fenced
12 acres

We have a number of wide moss covered walking trails through the woods. The property is fully fenced with wire fencing. But it is NOT dog proof fencing . There is a natural wide buffer between trails and fencing in most spots. The west side has privacy fencing, hogwire fencing on the North and a creek borders the Southend. . We have dogs on the property but they do not go venturing into the woods unless we are with them.

Seth's 30 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Chimacum

Partially Fenced
30 acres

Glendale Farm Dog Park Description Welcome to Glendale Farm, a peaceful 180-acre working farm in the heart of the Chimacum Valley where dogs and their people can slow down, explore, and reconnect with nature. Our Sniffspot offers a unique off-leash experience surrounded by open pasture, mature forests, seasonal wetlands, orchards, and quiet farm roads. Depending on the season, you’ll enjoy expansive grassy areas, shaded woodland trails, and wide-open views of one of Washington’s most beautiful agricultural valleys. Your visit is designed to feel like a private countryside adventure. Dogs can sniff along hedgerows, explore winding trails, splash in seasonal puddles after the rains, and enjoy plenty of room to run while you relax beneath towering trees or take in the surrounding farmland. Wildlife sightings are common and may include deer, eagles, hawks, owls, frogs, and countless songbirds. Because Glendale Farm is an active agricultural property, you may occasionally see tractors, farm staff, livestock in separate fenced pastures, or other farm activity at a distance. Our Sniffspot area is selected to maximize privacy while respecting our farming operations. The property changes dramatically with the seasons. Spring brings wildflowers and lush green fields. Summer offers dry walking paths and warm evenings. Autumn is filled with colorful foliage and migrating birds, while winter showcases dramatic skies and peaceful landscapes. Please keep all gates exactly as you found them and remain within designated Sniffspot areas unless otherwise instructed. We encourage you to take your time, breathe deeply, and let your dog experience the sights, scents, and sounds of a working regenerative farm. ⸻ Cleanliness We work hard to provide a natural and enjoyable experience. As an active farm, the grounds are maintained regularly, though visitors should expect natural conditions including grasses, mud during wet weather, leaves, sticks, and uneven terrain. Please help us keep the farm beautiful by packing out any trash and disposing of dog waste in the provided receptacles. ⸻ Hazards HOST NOTE Glendale Farm is a working agricultural property and natural landscape. By visiting, you acknowledge that outdoor recreation carries inherent risks. Please use caution around: * Uneven ground, mole hills, roots, rocks, holes, mud, tall grass, and slippery surfaces. * Seasonal standing water and drainage ditches. * Fallen branches, blackberry vines, nettles, thistles, and native vegetation. * Wildlife including deer, raccoons, coyotes, birds of prey, snakes, insects, bees, wasps, and ticks. * Agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, fencing, irrigation lines, and other farm infrastructure. * Livestock located in fenced areas. Dogs must never approach, chase, or disturb farm animals. * Weather conditions that may change rapidly, including rain, wind, heat, or icy conditions. Dogs should not consume unknown plants, mushrooms, berries, or standing water. While we make every effort to provide a safe environment, visitors are responsible for supervising their dogs at all times. Please ensure gates remain closed behind you and respect any areas marked as private or closed for habitat restoration or farm operations. Guests assume all responsibility for themselves, their animals, and their belongings while visiting Glendale Farm and agree not to hold Glendale Farm or its owners liable for injuries, accidents, property damage, or incidents arising from use of the property. We hope you and your dog leave a little happier, a little muddier, and already planning your next visit to Glendale Farm. 🐾🌿

55Our favorite sniff spot! Perfect for active dogs who enjoy trail running or romping through a field and stream. Plenty of shade, beautiful scenery. Trails are kept well but not over manicured, still feels like a doggy escape to the woods. Be prepared for some hiking. Highly recommend.

55Loved being able to have my dog reactive dog experience a mini hike safely! He absolutely loved it. Looking forward to coming back. Because it's partially fenced, I had him on a 50 ft long leash to give him some freedom. I'm glad I did because there's one point towards the end of the trail (that leads to the front gate) where it kinda forks off, with the right side connecting to the next property. There was an offleash dog on the other side that came charging at mine. I was able to pull my dog in and continue on. I heard that same dog get into a scuffle with another dog in the distance shortly after our encounter so just be aware for those with reactive dogs. Might be a good idea to have them on a long leash unless you know your dog has solid recall. That aside, awesome spot, and so many interesting sniffs!

55We had an absolute BLAST at PaJo ranch! I was a bit worried because of the few terrible reviews. If you are anxious about trying out a new spot, this review is for you! I also worry a LOT before deciding on booking a spot. As an FYI, my dog is reactive and she has very iffy recall, meaning she won't always come back on command, but we know that she'll come back after giving us a scare after going off somewhere. If this is your first visit, you'll meet Robin at her tiny house to receive instructions, there is a neighbor with a senior dog running in their fence (which are the one's you'd see at parks, see through and made of wire). Robin was so kind and gave us great instructions. My dog and I chose to drive to the off-leash area one our mini-van. It was a bumpy ride, but the road was dry enough to let us through. My dog and I are still working on the heel command, so walking her to the area (about 20 min or so) around the field in a state of excitement would have resulted in a LOT of frustration. You cannot let your dog run into the field and that's that. I know some people were frustrated about that. I'm not sure if the listed 175 acres include the field or not. Once you get to the off-leash area, there are a series of small trails in the woods/blackberry bush area. We chose which way to go as we went and were able to get to a beautiful open area with a ton of walking room at the bank of the river. By choosing different paths, there is a possibility that you won't be able to walk alongside the river, so EXPLORE with your pup! My toy poodle absolutely loved all the space and my Saint Berdoodle (she's the reactive one:) loved the river. I wasn't expecting her to have so much fun. The nice shallow area of the river created a beautiful experience for her to enjoy the water. She was just excessively running through the water, chasing sticks, and going after rocks. It is always a good idea to contact Robin about the condition of the river. It was low the day we went and there was a lot of shallow areas to play in. It was absolute paradise! I could, however, see where the water would get deep and the current stronger, if your pupper is afraid of NOTHING, I'd suggest taking a super long nylon or biothane leash with you just to be safe. Thank you for giving us such an amazing experience Robin! If any of you are worried or would like to chat about this spot, feel free to DM us @yomonaka on IG. :)

55This spot is so beautiful! The walk down to the river was lovely, and once you get there, you can let your dog off-leash and they can splash around in the river. Our dogs aren’t huge water dogs, but they still loved wading in the water and running around the rocks. The only note I have is that there was one dog barking on an adjacent property, but it couldn’t get over to where we were and stayed put, so it was no problem for us. Overall, I’d give this spot more than five stars if I could!

55Beautiful spot! The majority of the walking area is leash required, with a very brief wooded trail to access the river being off leash. Still an enjoyable excursion and we enjoyed the ramble. There are several short paths into the woods that arent the actual off leash area which got a bit confusing. Just stay on the dirt road the entire way and the river access is at the very end of the road. Bring boots if it is a rainy day. lots of puddles my pup enjoyed tromping through.

55If you have a reactive dog, Please be aware that the property along the road to the River has dogs and no fence. They charged us and luckily stayed on their property while barking. It kind of stressed us all out after but they had fun walking in the water. We were on edge heading back to the car and luckily the dogs were not out. Not an ideal spot for a reactive dog but a nice visit. There is nowhere to leave your poop bags so bring extra bags. You will also need your own water source.

55This is one of the best sniffspots we've been to. This place is beautiful and extremely safe for reactive dogs. We had an amazing time here and can't wait to go back soon! The directions to the place are pretty straight forward and there is tons of parking space in case you prefer not driving all the way down to the woods.

Frequently asked questions about Northgate dog hiking trails

What types of dog hiking trails are available in Northgate?

Northgate has 28 dog hiking trails offers wooded trails, open meadows, and varied natural terrain. Whether you need a fully-fenced space for poor recall, a quiet location for a reactive dog, appropriate sizing for small breeds, gentle terrain for seniors, or specific amenities like water features or agility equipment, you'll find options in Northgate. Filter by fencing, size, distractions, and amenities to match your needs.

When can I book dog hiking trails in Northgate?

Northgate dog hiking trails are available based on host scheduling—many operate dawn to dusk or even 24/7. Unlike public dog parks with rigid hours, you choose the exact time that works for you. Check individual Northgate listings for specific availability. Flexible scheduling is especially helpful for dogs with specific needs: reactive dogs who do better during quieter times, working dog owners needing early/late slots, or seniors needing cooler morning hours.

How do I book a dog hiking trail in Northgate?

Browse 28 available dog hiking trails in Northgate, select your preferred date and time, and reserve through Sniffspot. Most Northgate locations offer instant booking. You'll receive confirmation, exact address, and entry instructions. The booking process takes just minutes—perfect when your dog needs exercise, whether that's a reactive dog requiring safe space, a puppy needing socialization, or an energetic dog burning off steam.

What's the most popular dog hiking trail in Northgate?

Hike up the mini forest is highly rated among Northgate dog hiking trails, known for excellent amenities and positive reviews. However, the "best" spot depends on your dog's needs—reactive dogs might prioritize privacy and quiet, puppies might need secure fencing, seniors might want flat terrain, while active dogs might want maximum running space. Browse Northgate listings to find your ideal match.

Can I use Northgate dog hiking trails for training sessions?

Yes! Northgate dog hiking trails are perfect for training because they're private and distraction-free. Work on recall, practice trail recall in natural environments, leash manners on varied terrain, or hiking endurance building, help reactive dogs build confidence, socialize puppies, or work on obedience—all without public dog park unpredictability. Many Northgate professional trainers use these spaces for client sessions with all types of dogs.

Do Northgate dog hiking trails accommodate multiple dogs?

Most Northgate dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings for specifics). If you have several dogs—especially if some are reactive toward strange dogs or if you have mixed ages (puppies and seniors)—private dog hiking trails let them play together safely without outside interference or triggers.

What amenities do Northgate dog hiking trails offer?

Northgate dog hiking trails feature amenities like marked trail paths through natural terrain, open meadow areas for off-leash play, and shaded rest spots along the route. Many hosts provide extras: poop bags, water stations, toys, shaded seating, parking, even dog wash stations. Each Northgate listing clearly shows what's available. Look for amenities matching your dog's needs: shade for heat-sensitive breeds, water for swimmers, agility for active dogs, or privacy features for anxious pets.

Are Northgate dog hiking trails available year-round?

Many Northgate hosts maintain their dog hiking trails throughout all seasons. Filter for covered or climate-controlled options if weather matters. Indoor dog hiking trails provide year-round access regardless of Northgate weather conditions. Check individual listings for seasonal availability and policies.
