We don't have any immediate dog neighbors for the backyard but some dogs do live on the street. We have a neighbor who has chickens, but usually they are quiet unless it's morning. The yard has a few tall trees towards the back and a wooden structure that should not be entered.

Trail is about 1 mile and opens up to three large open areas (not fenced) with a creek that runs alongside much of the trail. Very dog friendly. Please stay off of the deck. Very friendly, passive Dog lives in the house, but may bark at visitors until he meets them. Left side gate is difficult to open, but Right side is easy.

He also has a dog-kiddie pool for them to splash around in or rinse off after their dip in the lake. He provide outside toys, doggie waste bags, treats, towels and drinking water for you and our furry guests. He offers a 25 yard leash you can use when your dog is swimming if you are worried about their recall in the water. Swimming is at the discretion of the owner/booker, and we have no ability to control lake conditions. Welcome to sync your phone to our Bose speaker to listen to your own music or just enjoy the sounds of nature. In the springtime, it’s the perfect weather for your dogs to swim while you enjoy the view. Lots of wildlife to enjoy, you may even help us find newly hatched baby turtles during your stay! A good half mile from Route 234 (Dumfries Road) in the Woodbine Woods region of the Manassas historic District, the lot has over a quarter acre of open yard, light but old growth woods and a small stream just past the woodline. The forest offers deer, squirrels, foxes and a wide variety of birds (I believe i saw a mated pair of Kestrels). Some neighbors have dogs (there are two cats in my house that live in the windows to watch the outside world) and there is a highly qualified professional Dog Trainer in the area (details available on request).

When put up, the hammock, tables, and chairs are yours to enjoy! I will place seats in the yard sometimes if guests are more comfortable slightly distanced from the house.

Our space offers fun for dogs of all ages! We have lots of items to desensitize your pup and allow them to explore in a safe place (swing set, jungle gym, table, chairs) Warm month mornings are typically full sun, while afternoons offer partial shaded areas to cool off after a long day. Other amenities include table with umbrella and chairs, dog toys, shaded dog shack, pooper scooper, poop bags, water bowl, water hose, small dog pool, and agility equipment. We don’t typically use pesticides because we don’t want to harm pollinators, so we offer bug sprays and personal repellents. Our yard is backed up to a wooded area, so it’s frequented by an array at wildlife at times. You likely won’t see them during your visit, but we have seen squirrels, birds, rabbits, deer, frogs, groundhog, and a fox/bats at night (while yard is empty).
