We have two house cats, and while they’ll always be inside, they may sit on the windows watching the fun. IMPORTANT: At both entrances to the backyard (on either side of the house, be aware of the space between the rungs of the fence. Very small, unattended dogs might be able to squeeze through. IMPORTANT: Please keep dogs and people off the upper deck. We have broken floorboards and we don’t want anyone to get hurt.

Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. Lovely, fully fenced yard secured by a gate (which also has mesh wire). The fence has recently been repaired to address any gaps at the bottom of the fence, but as with any spot, owners must watch their dogs at all times. The height of the fence (4-5 ft depending on slope) is suitable for most small and medium dogs and even large dogs who aren't jumpers. If your dog is a jumper or an escape artist, you may need a place with a higher fence. Owners are responsible for picking up after their dog with provided bucket and scoop. We scoop daily or more and endeavor to keep the spot poop free for your visit, however, understand that we do allow last minute bookings and that it is possible that if you book with very little time before the reservation begins, we may not be able to get out to the yard to check for any feces before you arrive. No other dogs will be present in yard while yard is rented, however, the neighbors do have 2 dogs that are outside occasionally but not often.
