Creekside Acres – Soft Launch Creekside Acres is currently prepping for summer hosting! Hours and availability may be limited as we fine-tune operations. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are a private, appointment-only pasture space available exclusively through Sniffspot. This is a rural, outdoor property designed for dogs who need room to run, sniff, and decompress. Please note it is only partially fenced and bordered by Abernathy Creek. Other Animals & Activity: • No other dogs are present on the property. • Two cats may be visible; please supervise dogs that chase cats. • The property is mostly quiet; occasional outdoor activity from the homeowner may occur. • Occasional machinery or vehicle noise may be heard from surrounding areas. Terrain: This is a natural field environment. Terrain may include: • Uneven ground • Natural holes or divots • Sloped areas • Tall grass and seasonal vegetation • Mud depending on weather • Rocks, roots, and other natural features • Wildlife and insects Guests should wear appropriate footwear and supervise dogs at all times. Farm Equipment: Farm equipment may be present on the property. Please stay off all equipment. Booking & Access: Access is limited to your booked time only. No early arrivals or extended stays. Creek Access: Abernathy Creek runs along part of the property and may be accessible to dogs throughout the pasture. Please note: • Creek banks may be steep or uneven • Owner access to the creek may be limited in certain areas • Water depth and flow vary depending on season and rainfall Creek access is generally easier for dogs; human access may be difficult. If your dog is likely to enter the water, they should have reliable recall and be comfortable navigating natural terrain. Owners must supervise their dogs near the creek at all times. Health & Safety Reminder: Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations. Our yard is mostly grass with some trees for shade, chairs and a hammock for humans, and plenty of privacy for all. Fences are solid wood, 6 feet tall all around. Our pup, Major, will be indoors (unless you request a play with him - he's a friendly golden retriever). We'll keep the curtains closed for your privacy. If you have a reactive dog and would like our dog completely out of sight, message me and I can accommodate that with prior notice. There are neighbors on the side with dogs that your pup may see arriving to the spot. Plenty of street parking in front of the house. Private side yard entrance to the right of the house by the garage. Please use what you see available - dog bags next to the gate, toys on the dog hammock or inside the chest, towels, hose, treats on the glass table and water station for pups, garbage bin by the gate.

Private fully fenced ~0.17-acre backyard in SW Portland with plenty of open grassy space for dogs to run, sniff, and explore. This spot works especially well for reactive dogs, shy dogs, or high-energy pups that need room to move without encountering other dogs. Your dog will not encounter other dogs during your visit. My dog Bo (80-lb Border Collie mix, 8 years old) can stay inside, or if your dog enjoys socializing he’s happy to join for supervised play. The yard is mostly enclosed with 6-ft wood privacy fencing and secure gates, with a small section of wire fence facing the street where dogs may occasionally see passing activity. Two side gates provide easy entry into the backyard. The space is intentionally simple and sniff-friendly with grass and minimal landscaping so dogs can run, roll, and explore naturally. A separate fenced garden area keeps dogs out of the vegetable beds. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood. A nearby backyard sometimes has ducks or chickens, which you may hear occasionally, but most neighboring yards are not visible due to the fencing. Amenities • Hose with warm water hookup • Covered wooden swing seating (shade in summer, dry spot in rain) • Large open grassy play area Good to know • Grass is mowed about every two weeks during summer • Bring your own waste bags and chairs if you’d like additional seating • Plum trees occasionally drop fruit in early summer (I do my best to keep it cleaned up) • Optional dog bath with hose available for a small water fee Great for • Reactive dogs • Solo dog exercise • Recall training • Sniff sessions and enrichment • High-energy dogs needing space to run A relaxed, private place where dogs can just be dogs.

Your attendance has allowed us to continue development of our Disney Land for dogs and being a contributor to the Portland Humane Society. Toward that end this is what we have to offer at present with more to come. Two main walking trails, with two offshoot trail loops at present. Signage is there at each to help you in and out of each. Each has a selection of walking sticks at the trailhead, should you choose to use them. Appropriate good grip footwear is recommended especially during our monsoon season. Trail one, the shorter of the two, is about 25 minutes give or take, and takes a degree of dexterity more than trail too. Trail two contains two loops trails that take 30 to 45 minutes there and back to the parking area. The trail has two rest areas to sit with umbrellas to keep the rain off when needed. Trail 2, loop two has large Vern plant areas like you may have seen in the Jurassic Park movies.  There are (2) Two parking areas, one much larger for up to 25 cars to accommodate larger group events. A porta potty for your convenience. Multiple poop depots throughout the park with bag dispensers. Two water play areas one is shallow to help pups to acclimate comfortably to water play. The other is the larger man-made pond area. The larger pond area has a selection of small watercraft to help acclimate pups to being on the water with a parent. A large selection of different size lifejackets for parents and pups. Floatable toys for retrieval are nearby. A Muddy Paw Spa to clean pups and shoes before getting into the car. Included, are multiple towels to dry off your pup, and a close line to hang the wet towels on to dry off. For those concerned about blue green algae, a bulletin board showing a test kit that can be purchased through Amazon. Test takes 15 minutes, with 99% accuracy. Next to it is an area to post the initials of the tester, date, time, and results of the test for other guests to see. Any guest doing this will be given an extra 15 minutes to the end of their reservation time on us. Please let us know in advance if you decide to do the test. For reasons to detailed to get into now, there’s never been an issue with blue green algae at Tail Waggers. A comprehensive agility course with all the obstacles that you would see on the YouTube obstacle course events. Multiple toy stations. If on your visit, you would like to donate unused toys for other pups to enjoy that would certainly be appreciated. A long mowed area above the pond for long distance ball and frisbee retrieval. They’re also a few frisbee catchers there to practice frisbee throwing accuracy. Long, medium range and putter frisbees are provided. A 10 x 10 doggy dig sandbox for those pups to enjoy digging. A tug-of-war for those pups will enjoy a good tug. The picnic area has been expanded to accommodate pup, birthday parties, pup, groups, and family gatherings. For those bringing young children, a swingset. Solar lighting around trees, parking area and the porta potty will help to illuminate these areas when darkness falls. There are water dispensers with water bowls. There is another area being developed presently that will become an urban agility course.

We are very much in the country in a small farming community. ONLY dogs and cats are domestic animals - goats are livestock and are not considered domesticated - they live in barns. Welcome! Just a couple important notes about our yard: We have a couple neighbor dogs that we have zero control over! Please do not book this spot if you, or your pup, wouldn’t do well with that. If you book during a time when it is dark outside, then it will be dark. We have some twinkle lights, but even those are not guaranteed. If we’re home, we will happily turn them on or off for you. Just message us! We have a fully fenced 0.25 acre for you and your pups to enjoy. Feel free to pull up in the driveway and park as close to the chain link gate with Sniffspot! sign (near basketball hoop) as possible. There are extra poop bags as well as a scooper and trash can. We live on 5 acres about 1 mile from Camp Bonneville. The 2 acre pasture has a fenced seasonal pond in the middle, flat and open with lots of room for zoomies, frisbee, fetch, or just lounging and enjoying the birds and trees. Pasture is fenced with 4 foot field fence with electric wire at the top (not charged), and separate from the house. Front fence borders on 68th St. Plenty of room to run and explore! Let's keep the pasture nice, please discourage digging and pick up after dog. My Border Collie and Mini Aussie will find your leavings (it's a large space, I understand things get missed, it helps to carry poo bags to minimize backtracking). For human exercise... 6 laps around perimeter fence is approx. 1 mile, 6 laps around pond fence is approx. 1/4 mile.

We live on a quiet dead-end county road. As neighbors, we are close, so please be awesome and keep your speed under 20 mph. This is the lower pasture at the G&E Ranch. It is straight behind the airplane hangar pad to the east. You'll want to park where it says Ranch Parking. Go past the turn around and our egg stand and turn left just past the G&E Ranch sign. It right off the road in front of the blue house/hangar. If there is no room there, find a spot to the south in the large parking lot in front of the garage by the basketball hoop. Access the pasture via sidewalk to the north of the house/hangar and walk through the grass to the wood double gate. We have Sniff spot signs to help guide you to the gate, hose bib, picnic table and bathroom. There are other gates that should be closed, but it is good to verify they are in fact closed. We can't have any animals on the taxiway or airport. It's possible there are farm animals in the lower pasture, but we'll try to keep them out when we have reservations. They can be herded up through the upper 12' gate pretty easily. Maybe your dog(s) can help? We have three very friendly dogs. Balto is the big lovable Bermedoodle. He can have a big bark but loves people. Amber is our medium-sized goldendoodle. She's getting older and is just a lover. Port is our small Yorkie. Everyone loves Port! They roam around the ranch, so be aware of that with your dog(s). Feel free to sit at the picnic table in the back yard. We call it the Oasis. There are frost-free hose bibs for water. Guys can pee outside. There is a bathroom in the SW corner of the hangar though. You'll access it through the exterior man door and head straight back. Near the trampoline, we will have essentials for you to use. Enjoy your stay :-)

Contact me privately to obtain your booking code. ** Our SS is a fairly wide-open space where your dogs can run and play. We have a variety of shady spots and trees as well. There are various plants and some amazing (HELP YOURSELF) blackberries July-August. Please never bring any unvaccinated dog to our SS. (We regularly rescue abandoned puppies which are available for adoption.) Please monitor your dogs and clean up any messes, as we seem to find them after guests have been busy on their cellphones. Extra waste bags are available in the old milk box next to the porch steps. FEEL FREE to: -use any toys you find in the SS! -fill/empty kiddie pool to your liking -throw away damaged balls -contact us with suggestions or feedback Absolutely no digging is allowed. Please do not allow your dog to dig holes. Private areas: the house including the porch, and wrap around garden. Water is provided unless freezing temps are expected 1- PLEASE USE SPIGOT TO RIGHT OF GATE NEXT TO HOSE BOX. IF not working properly, blue yard hydrant handle or a line may not be open. It should always be open in summer months. Please the area east of the driveway and behind the house and have a good time exploring and playing! There are bunnies, cats and squirrels on the property so we ask that you please restrain your dog on arrival, for the first 30 seconds or so when entering the property to give those animals a chance to react to the presence of a new animal. We appreciate your business and love your dogs, just encourage them to avoid the home, porch areas and flower/fruit gardens please. Leave any hose running if found that way in summer months. Residents of the home may come and go during your reservation. This is a rare but possible occurrence. We are mindful of your space, and we are careful to ensure the gate is kept closed.
