Bacon & Eggs 30 Acre Farm & Private Forest Trail - Oregon City

Partially Fenced
10 acres

We offer a dedicated 10 acre sloped pasture for walking, running, ball play, etc. also a trail hike through the woods up to a mile. (Be aware of uneven ground and blackberries; some thorns in mulch). The 30-acre property is fenced and isolated private space. The gate to the road is open for access but a good distance from the fields (so not closed while visiting.). The farm is a working farm so you may see workers and equipment away from the dedicated dog areas. Yes, part of our property has neighbors along the trail but fencing is in place and neighbors are seldom around. Water for dogs, trash can for baggies, picnic table and dog toys are provided. There are livestock fenced off from the trail, and some electric & electric mesh fences are in use.

Tail Waggers private dog park

Unfenced
15 acres

Your attendance has allowed us to continue development of our Disney Land for dogs and being a contributor to the Portland Humane Society. Toward that end this is what we have to offer at present with more to come. Two main walking trails, with two offshoot trail loops at present. Signage is there at each to help you in and out of each. Each has a selection of walking sticks at the trailhead, should you choose to use them. Appropriate good grip footwear is recommended especially during our monsoon season. Trail one, the shorter of the two, is about 25 minutes give or take, and takes a degree of dexterity more than trail too. Trail two contains two loops trails that take 30 to 45 minutes there and back to the parking area. The trail has two rest areas to sit with umbrellas to keep the rain off when needed. Trail 2, loop two has large Vern plant areas like you may have seen in the Jurassic Park movies. There are (2) Two parking areas, one much larger for up to 25 cars to accommodate larger group events. A porta potty for your convenience. Multiple poop depots throughout the park with bag dispensers. Two water play areas one is shallow to help pups to acclimate comfortably to water play. The other is the larger man-made pond area. The larger pond area has a selection of small watercraft to help acclimate pups to being on the water with a parent. A large selection of different size lifejackets for parents and pups. Floatable toys for retrieval are nearby. A Muddy Paw Spa to clean pups and shoes before getting into the car. Included, are multiple towels to dry off your pup, and a close line to hang the wet towels on to dry off. For those concerned about blue green algae, a bulletin board showing a test kit that can be purchased through Amazon. Test takes 15 minutes, with 99% accuracy. Next to it is an area to post the initials of the tester, date, time, and results of the test for other guests to see. Any guest doing this will be given an extra 15 minutes to the end of their reservation time on us. Please let us know in advance if you decide to do the test. For reasons to detailed to get into now, there’s never been an issue with blue green algae at Tail Waggers. A comprehensive agility course with all the obstacles that you would see on the YouTube obstacle course events. Multiple toy stations. If on your visit, you would like to donate unused toys for other pups to enjoy that would certainly be appreciated. A long mowed area above the pond for long distance ball and frisbee retrieval. They’re also a few frisbee catchers there to practice frisbee throwing accuracy. Long, medium range and putter frisbees are provided. A 10 x 10 doggy dig sandbox for those pups to enjoy digging. A tug-of-war for those pups will enjoy a good tug. The picnic area has been expanded to accommodate pup, birthday parties, pup, groups, and family gatherings. For those bringing young children, a swingset. Solar lighting around trees, parking area and the porta potty will help to illuminate these areas when darkness falls. There are water dispensers with water bowls. There is another area being developed presently that will become an urban agility course.

Run your heart out on 32 of fully fenced meadows and woods

Fully Fenced
32 acres

Gorgeous land in the country. Come spend some time with your dogs and enjoy safe and private doggy freedom. 9 acres apron fenced meadow (for smaller dogs or escape artists who can't jump a 4 foot fence,} 10 acres in deep woods with a large creek and 13 remaining acres in open meadow. Seasonal pond in the upper meadow. ALL 32 acres are fenced with triple barbed wire. Sorry! No water, chairs or poop bag trash cans on site. This is not a place that gets policed by anyone but you! Please help keep this site as pristine as you find it. If you pack it in please pack it out. Please park on the gravel rather than in the grass. The I-5 of the Pacific Northern railways runs right by my property. The trains are frequent and loud. Be aware if you have sound reactive dogs (or humans). So far, no one has told me their dog was scared. Thanks!

Nehemiah lane dog farm

Unfenced
30 acres

The property includes 30 unfenced acres of tall grass, trees, and quiet trails. The main trail makes up the perimeter of the property. It is 1 mile long and you will need to traverse underneath the bridge to Accsess the second half. There is limited access to the Yamhill River on both sides of the bridge. Some areas will be swampy during the winter and spring, especially in the lower sections. Please be aware of common forest hazards such as blackberry bushes, poison oak, nettles, and the occasional downed tree. There are no homes, restrooms or residents on the property only neighbors and a small garden area. You are welcome to explore both sides of the bridge. While there are "No Trespassing" signs posted near it, they are only intended to discourage the local homeless community. During the summer and fall, feel free to enjoy the fruit growing throughout the property most of which is at the far NW end of the grass road near the entrance. Deer and a variety of birds also call this place home and are best left undisturbed. You will find a couple of chairs and a small table set out for you to enjoy a quiet moment or watch the sunset. Please be respectful of our neighbors and remember to pick up after yourself and your dogs. Much of the property is being reforested in partnership with the USDA. / NRCS and is intentionally wild. If you bring kids feel free to use the swings at your own risk. Have a great time, Joshua

55I would give them more than five stars if I could. This is why Sniffspot is such a crucial resource… Not just for people with dog-reactive dogs… or parties with your doggy friends, but when I really couldn’t walk my dog. Coming off of Surgery- and a hip injury from scrapping in the street when a neighbor dog jumped the fence and attacked Sadie. I don’t bounce back the way I used to (I’m only 56. I feel your pity, thank you.👊) so I booked a time only to find out that my new (Used) Prius wouldn’t start. Even though it was NOT nearly within the two hour cancellation grace period, Dan and Stephanie still refunded my money. Couple of days later I booked a spot (we actually showed up…) But the only photos I have are of the gorgeous trees that that you see when you’re lying flat on your back on their picnic table. My instinct was to walk with my dog. We always walk the perimeter together. She looks to me when she sees something in the brush that she wants to hunt and then we play ball at the end. After being reminded by the hosts that I can take advantage of the variety of benches and tables provided. Twice they reminded me. But the second time they said it (after I was already there) and, for some reason, ithit me differently. I thought it was a really good idea. I looked and saw that Sadie was fine and I got up there (no, I normally do not put my butt on the top of a table) BUTT I did and lied down flat. My dog was loving it. When I lied down, I was so grateful to be able to rest. On my back. It was only because of their incredibly polite reminders to TAKE IT EASY, WONT YOU? That I did take it easy. My dog had a blast. She didn’t even want to play ball. I took my borrowed car back to my friend’s house. And when I went home, Sadie slept like a rock til it was time til it was time to go to the big bed. So thank you for allowing me to give my dog something I physically can’t do at the moment. Also for refunding my money. (I was texting in real time saying “oh my God I can’t start my car.😩” As I was missing my time.) and we’ve been to Red Barn Run many, many times. They were incredibly thoughtful. Really decent, empathetic people-that we need more of the world. So I am grateful for that and when I’m feeling better, I’ll be back to walk the perimeter with Sadie and if the paths are open to hunt in the tall grass with her. Thank you seems so inefficient.

55What a week. Just had surgery. Got the hardware removed from around the clavicle I broke last year. So I scheduled a SniffSpot for my girl Sadie… then my new (used) Prius wouldn’t start. Ugh!! Thank you for refunding my visit. I will rebook it as soon as my car is going.

55We loved this spot! Super easy to get to & appreciate being able to drive into the spot to park. It’s a beautiful area & there weren’t any animals in sight so no barking triggers. We will definitely be back!

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Ridgefield see dozens of dogs daily with sporadic city maintenance. Private dog hiking trails have dedicated hosts who maintain their own spaces—cleanliness directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Ridgefield hosts provide fresh poop bags, sanitized water stations, and regular grounds cleaning. With only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal.

Can I book Ridgefield dog hiking trails on short notice?

Usually yes! Many Ridgefield dog hiking trails offer same-day or next-day availability with instant booking. Unlike public parks that might be crowded unpredictably, Ridgefield private dog hiking trails let you reserve exactly when needed: early morning before work, midday breaks, evening exercise. Real-time availability shows on each listing—perfect for last-minute training or when routines get disrupted.

What's the best time to visit dog hiking trails in Ridgefield?

Any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks in Ridgefield that are crowded during peak hours (mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't worry about timing. Book when it fits YOUR schedule—midday when it's quiet, dawn for cool weather, late evening for convenience. Many Ridgefield dog hiking trails have lighting for after-dark visits. This flexibility is perfect for shift workers or dogs with special needs.

Do Ridgefield dog hiking trails allow multiple dogs?

Yes! Most Ridgefield dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings), but generally you can bring your whole pack. This is perfect for multi-dog households in Ridgefield where some dogs are selective—they can play together privately without outside interference. Great for sibling bonding or families with mixed ages/temperaments.

Can I use Ridgefield dog hiking trails for special events?

Many Ridgefield dog hiking trails welcome doggy birthday parties, training workshops, breed meetups, or group playdates. Private bookings mean your event won't be interrupted. Coordinate with Ridgefield hosts about capacity, amenities (parking, shade, water), and any restrictions. Some even provide party extras. Check individual Ridgefield dog hiking trail listings for event policies.

How do Ridgefield dog hiking trails accommodate dogs with special needs?

Ridgefield dog hiking trails are excellent for special needs dogs because you can filter for specific requirements: flat terrain for mobility issues, secure fencing for blind/deaf dogs, quiet locations for anxious dogs, small spaces for seniors, or maximum privacy for reactive dogs. Read reviews from other Ridgefield special-needs dog owners, and contact hosts with questions. The private setting means you can adapt the experience to your dog's unique requirements.
