Bathroom available on site is now located in an outhouse close to where you park your car. Please let us know if it needs cleaning it is checked throughout the day. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There is a barn hose if you need water text or call glenn 2508962860. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs. Please keep dogs leashed until you are in the designated enclosed area. There is a 30 minute gap between bookings so you dont run into a dog leaving the field. A Pacific Forestlands loop with beautiful views of the South fork of the Stilliguamish River. A loop in the woods with views rarely seen. Enjoy the seasonal creek and PNW fauna and feel free to make the area yours. Please note we have two separate SniffSpot listings so be sure to double check you are right the correct location upon arrival. The Riverview loop is the spot located on the east side of the road.

Lake Cavanaugh K9 Ranch

22 forested acres with private trails and an open field area located in the power line clearing. Includes private land access to state forest trails with views. Once you park you will see the trail entrance into the forest in front of you. Take the trail down to the creek. Water levels in the creek vary depending on the time of year. Cross the creek using the foot bridge and head through the forest. In about .3 miles you will come out into the powering line clearing. Feel free to explore everything in front of you and to the left (north). There are several wide open grass spaces in the power line to play fetch or just let the dogs run and be dogs. I will send you detailed instructions for the hike up the mountain upon request. This is a real hike and I recommend hiking attire. Please bring water for yourself and your dogs. The hike is about 3.5 miles and 800 feet of elevation gain. I recommend booking at least 2 hours to complete. If you want to hang out and enjoy the views you may want to book more than 2 hours.

$15/hr - 1 dog $5 each additional dog $5 for additional 30 min The back forty of our farm is flanked by raspberries, blue berries, nursery stock ,trees as well as a neighboring farm. It is peaceful and quiet, there is no road noise .It is spectacular and a safe peaceful place to walk and play with your dog companions. Pull in at the west driveway of the Farm following the tree planted driveway to the field. Park in the grass area before you cross the ditch , before you cross into the berry field.The ditches have clean water in them - your dogs are welcome to play in the water. I know my dogs LOVE IT!!! Our space has been a favorite for people with reactive dogs as you literally have wide open space all to yourself and your dog companion. April 2023 Field is currently all in grass- We will take first cutting grass off sometime the first couple weeks of May. I will keep you posted here.

West Pole Lane

Off West Pole Road, there’s a little lane next to a DeWildes nursery field. Our front field has a hidden gate (see pictures!) that will let you into our fully fenced front field. The grass is field grass and a little more rough and uneven than a yard lawn. When possible, please fill any dug-up spots so as to keep people and pups from tripping or getting hurt!

Coming here will feel like you are in the country with the beauty of the mountains, a field to run in and a trail to hike in. *Please note that the acreage is a total of 86 acres including the crop areas. There is very little time that the crop area is restricted. When the pumpkins are grown, it is fun to walk up the rows and we welcome the pups to be in there, take photos etc. If you visit during planting, we ask the dogs stay out of that area as that can damage the crop. There is lots of space to run and walk/hike. The perimeter trail is approximately 3.5km. There is short grass, tall grass the dogs can go in and out all over the field in the front and middle of the property. As well as up the hill trail.

WEATHER ALERT: If you are checking the weather online check the Ferndale (98248) weather. The Bellingham weather stops at the Smith Road. My prevailing wind is from the South BUT I do get the cold NE wind from Canada. NOTE: This is an acreage area which formerly held dog events; barn hunt, earth dog, carting, rally, obedience, tracking and nose work. The off leash area was set up for the dogs to have a place to run and play safely away from the other dogs when not working. This is all sandy loam so no standing water even when it rains. There is a water faucet down by the smaller barn (west side). You are welcome to fill your dog's bowls. Just be sure you turn the water off after. I have put some folding chairs just inside the big door of the barn. You are welcome to use them. I have also put a shovel out there so you can fill in any holes your dog digs. It is important you put balls back in the crate, they do not do well under the mower (the mower doesn't like it either. Please fill in any large holes your dog digs, so my mower doesn't bog down in one. if you want a bit more room to run your dogs, you may close the 2 big gates and let your dog run in the "parking area". It is all fully fenced. Be aware, the big gate into the back pasture does have a gap under it. THE BACK PASTURE IS OFF LIMITS THERE IS LIVESTOCK BACK THERE! PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG EVEN IN THE BIG AREA. THANK YOU!!!

This field may not be suitable for dogs that can jump, climb or escape over a 4-foot fence. 👀 PRIVACY AND DISTRACTIONS Our family dogs do not enter the Sniffspot field during confirmed reservations. They may occasionally be seen or heard from our separate family yard or house. Dogs, people, cyclists, vehicles and other animals may also sometimes be seen or heard outside the property.
