We live on 5 acres about 1 mile from Camp Bonneville. The Sniffspot is a 2 acre pasture with a fenced seasonal pond in the middle. Pasture is fenced with 4 foot field fence with electric wire at the top (not charged), and separate from the house. Front fence borders on 68th St. Plenty of room to run and explore! Let's keep the pasture nice, please discourage digging and pick up after dog. My Border Collie and Mini Aussie will find your leavings (it's a large space, I understand things get missed, it helps to carry poo bags to minimize backtracking). For human exercise... 6 laps around perimeter fence is approx. 1 mile, 6 laps around pond fence is approx. 1/4 mile. If you're coming from Portland, the bridges and 4th Plain traffic can be challenging!

Great for a date night with the pups or hang by the fire with a couple friends. BYO fire wood. Use hose to completely put fire out before leaving. Part of the property is Forest where your dogs can forage, roam amongst the trees, dig, or just take in all the smells. Our visitors tell us It's the best of both worlds with the woods to roam and open areas to play fetch or practice on some of the agility equipment . Our space is very peaceful and beautiful, with lots of texture. No road noise! We only have one house behind us that has access to our paved rd. We have a shade (or rain) canopy with a picnic table under it, toys, poop station and fresh water( in jugs currently) our hose has been shut down due to freezing weather until it warms up again. I have 3 dogs of my own that roam the upper 2 acres of the property, which is my backyard. Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, you will most likely hear my pups if they are outside. We have placed a privacy material along the fencing so that the dogs will not be able to have any contact, but they will see shadows through the material. My pups may bark and run up and down the fence line as you play in the forest if they hear you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will hear them. If you have aggressive or reactive dogs, PLEASE give me a heads up. Our yard is mostly grass with some trees for shade, chairs and a hammock for humans, and plenty of privacy for all. Fences are solid wood, 6 feet tall all around. Our pup, Major, will be indoors (unless you request a play with him - he's a friendly golden retriever). We'll keep the curtains closed for your privacy, but he may sneak a peak to say hi through the window. If you have a reactive dog and would like our dog completely out of sight, message me and I can accommodate that with prior notice. There are neighbors on the side with dogs that your pup may see arriving to the spot. Plenty of parking in front of the house. Private side yard entrance to the right of the house by the garage. Please use what you see available - pooper scooper and dog bags on the patio, toys throughout the yard, towels, hose and water station for pups, garbage bin on your way out at the side of the house.

Walk through winter dormant farm fields to a secluded fully-fenced pasture. Bird and wildlife sightings occur often. Be sure to wear waterproof hiking shoes. Drive SLOWLY and follow the 'Winter Pasture' signs to the back of the farm to a parking area. Then walk along farm fields to the fully fenced back pasture.

The property is a flat field, with short grass, which makes for the perfect space for your dog(s) to run to their hearts desire! This is also an ideal spot for training, especially disengage/reengage recall. You can keep an eye on your pups from all areas.
