Willow Tree Yard

**Potential noise/distraction warning for sensitive dogs: There is a new house being built on a lot near our spot, and sounds from the construction work might disturb some dogs (or people). The timing of the workers is unpredictable and out of our control, but they are finished by 6pm most days, and they haven’t been working most Sundays. If you make a reservation, I will give you a heads up if they are working that day, so that you can decide whether to reschedule.** Description: Let your dog run free in our backyard that has a wooden privacy fence. They can play or lounge under our large weeping willow tree, and we have many other amenities for dogs and people (see pictures and amenities list for details). Seating/shelter: The lower deck has 3 lawn chairs and a canopy for protection from sun/rain. The upper deck (accessible via stairs in the backyard) has 2 rocking chairs and a picnic table with 4 chairs. Use of the shed in the backyard is not an option (it will be locked). Parking: There is easy free street parking in our cul-de-sac, and the entrance gate to our yard is marked with a sign. For after-dark visits, our yard has lighting, and we can also provide a flashlight for you and a clip-on light for your dog (2 available). Note 1: There is a public sidewalk that runs along the outside of the fence on one side of our yard. So, people occasionally walk by (and sometimes have their dog walking with them). The fence is a bit higher than 5 feet on that side, so people can be seen/heard briefly, and a passing dog could be heard/smelled by your dog if they are near the fence at the time. Most people have said this was not a significant issue for their dogs, but I'm stating it here for the awareness of people with more reactive dogs. Note 2: When walking between your vehicle and the gate to our backyard, there may sometimes be other people or dogs on the street/sidewalk or in their front yards. Or there may sometimes be someone from our household leaving or arriving home (which involves walking between the front door and a car in our driveway). So please keep your dog on leash until you are inside the backyard with the gate closed (per standard SniffSpot rules).

After saying goodbye, my wife and I wanted to open the space to other dogs so they could enjoy it just as much as he did. We hope your pup feels right at home here. In the fall the yard gets covered in leaves. I do my best to keep them tidy, but they seem to have their own plans. Our dog used to love racing through the piles, and most pups enjoy the extra smells and crunch — hopefully yours does too.

I have 6 acres directly on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. Great spot for small mouth fishing. Pictures taken are when the river was very low but regardless it’s still a pretty good spot to go out in the water. Also available to drop in or hop out for kayaking. Hi y’all, Nice , clean cut, picked up regularly backyard for doggies big or small. Wide open, not a lot to get in the way of zoomies. There are 2 sitting areas for the hoomans, a hammock, a big Blue water bucket filled w/fresh water daily, a big orange bucket for the necessary waste. The fence on 1 side is only 4 foot, the rest is 6 foot privacy. There are 2 hiding spots my boy enjoys; the big bush at the far left corner of the house and the bush at the back left corner of the yard. The OFF LIMITS is the stairs to the basement door. Should not be home, my dog is downstairs secured in his kennel and would likely bark his head off if he saw you. So please refrain from venturing down the stairs. I look forward to hosting new doggie friends. 🫶🏼

Large enclosed backyard in Falls Church

We have somewhere between a third to a half acre in our backyard, fully enclosed with a 5 to 7-ft wood fence. We have shady spots, but there also aren't too many trees, so there is plenty of room to play fetch and run around. Amenities include a dog jump, a small dog tunnel, and furniture on the lower deck for you to sit down. There usually are a number of my dog's toys laying around (frisbees, balls, and ropes), which you are free to use while you are here. Please leave them in the yard on your way out though. We've had quite a bit of our stuff disappear over the years.
