55I was greeted by the male owner. He was very nice and informative about the property. It was very hot that morning and they offered free cold drinks. He also had bug spray available for me and my dogs which is 100% necessary to enjoy the trails. The trails are very nice. We will definitely be back in the fall Heather R.

Penny's Place: A Spacious Norfolk Yard | Sniffspot
55STOP right here and DON'T miss out on this Sniffspot!!!!! Okay, so I always have written great reviews for Sniffspots I've been to; they have all served the purpose of giving my dogs free time and all have been nicely kept. But, this spot by far has been our most favorite!!! Don't let the location being in a typical suburban neighborhood fool you, because this yard was HUGE!!! We felt safe in the neighborhood driving through, and everything was well upkept. There was a nice porch with chairs to relax in that was covered to keep away from the rain. A couple of bowls already filled with water were laid out, and a box full, literally full of balls and a whippet to play with. It was calm and peaceful. Even though the owner said they were watching a couple dogs inside, we literally didn't hear a peep from them! The owner even reached out prior and offered to cancel the reservation as it had started raining which was so thoughtful. It's kind of a catch 22 coming here because I think I will always compare future Sniffspots to this place after we move.... Or keep dreaming of having my own home with this kind of yard! Anyways, thank you SO much for your hospitality. You will make many future doggos so happy!!Chelsea M.

FAQ about our Gloucester dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Gloucester area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
