Space includes a small wooded area within the fenced area. Bathroom available on site in the smaller barn. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars. For the most part spacing between guests has been good. Please read the essential rules the website has suggested in order to keep this a fun and safe place for dogs. Guests can be blocked from booking again if they do not respect the space or who are rude to me. Please check the spot descriptions for all details regarding animals on the property. SPRING AND SUMMER ANNOUNCEMENTS *We will be adding a doggy splash pad and a kiddie pool with fresh water as an add on option. *shade umbrellas are out of storage and I just have to wash them... so they are coming very soon. *I am in the works of creating a full enclosed cat park. So if you are also a cat person or know a cat person please share my other link to book through the Swimply App. Similar to sniff spot but the insurance coverage is slightly different for cats ahah. You can also book that spot for puppy training, as it will be a more controlled smaller space 18 ft long. This will have a little drawing table/play kitchen/play house for kids set up in the corner, and chairs. For people who don't have cats you can still book the space and visit my two friendly orange cats. The orange cats on the property are very people/kid friendly. The black/white cats are loving only to immediate family members. Thank you to all our visitors. It's been wonderful seeing so many happy dogs.

My frenchie canine bestie was named Billie so our Sniffspot is named after her. She passed away recently and our yard is missing that lovely dog energy! If you are looking for a private fenced yard for dogs on Vancouver Island, you have the perfect place! The yard is green in the spring, summer & fall. It's rainy and grey in the winter but still a charming outdoor spot for dog exercise, play and relaxation. We have a small living room for dogs to play inside if that is a preference. Of course, we will need to make arrangements for any indoor bookings as the spaces are shared between 3-4 humans who reside on the property. We look forward to hosting your K9s! I offer dog walks, small-group boarding, and pet sitting services. When I’m not boarding any pups, I’d love to open my yard and patio space for other pups to enjoy. I live in a quiet neighbourhood, however there is some construction going on in the lot behind my home! There is a large bedrock that runs along one side of the backyard, which makes for some great exploring. There is a blackberry grove next to my yard which is frequented by various wildlife, so there is always lots to smell back there. Please note there is a significant set of stairs you need to go down to reach the lawn area from the patio. The yard is surrounded by 6ft fences, and there is one section that is steep rock - this could potentially be climbed by a VERY determined pup so please keep that in mind. I’m happy to do what I can to make your time here as safe & fun as possible, so please feel free to reach out with your queries & I’ll try my best to accommodate!

The area available is not fenced and is 3.5 acres, situated entirely off the road. The main play space is an heirloom apple orchard with 25+ beautiful old gnarled trees in an unmowed meadow. My own reactive dog loves to spring through the tussocks and uses the trees like an obstacle course. Beyond the meadow is 3.5 acres of hawthorn scrub that’s great for dogs, but not easily human-penetrable. Perfect for letting adventurous dogs have a solo romp if they have good recall. I hope you and your pup(s) enjoy it!!

COMING SOON in JUNE. This is a fully enclosed chicken coop that is 18.5 feet long, meshed. I am converting it into a place for very small dogs to have a safe space to be off leash in a grassy spot with a cover so they are safe from pray birds. It will also be a space where people with adventure cats are free to book, so there will some cat climbing trees. For a cat, please message for details, you will have to book through the Swimply App, as sniff spot is only designed for dog visitors. My vision for this encloser is to have hay grass, a couple of young cedar trees that can be transplanted later when they are getting too big for the enclosure. Some logs/ stumps... trying to recreate a mini forest inside the space. With shade and chairs for humans to sit and relax. I will be adding some agility equipment for small dogs or cats to practice jumping through hoops and doing adorable stuff.

Easily the best SniffSpot we've tried so far - acres of beautiful trails, with lots of spots for splashing in the creek, and several comfortable benches scattered throughout the property to rest on while your pup paddles and explores. I brought a ball but left it in the car, as our dog was having far too much fun relocating and remodeling the various sticks found along the trails to have any interest in toys. It was a pleasure to meet George, and he very kindly showed us around the trails before turning us loose. I can't thank him enough for sharing his incredible property with SniffSpot users. My dog is very happy and will sleep extremely well tonight!

George's property is SO beautiful!!! Our pups had the best time! Lots of places to stop at the stream, little waterfalls, some deep calm spots to swim and play. Cleared paths to walk and spots to sit and enjoy the magical forest. George was such a pleasure to meet, he gave us a map to go explore with and gave us detailed information about his property and where we could go. We plan to visit often. Highly recommend!! I have been blessed to be coming here for years. It is my favorite spot ever to come for a walk. As someone that works with dogs it is nice to have some private walk time with just my buddy Trip who posed for the photos:) Even if I didn't have a dog, I would pay to come here!
