There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars. If you are looking for a private fenced yard for dogs on Vancouver Island, you have the perfect place! The yard is green in the spring, summer & fall. It's rainy and grey in the winter but still a charming outdoor spot for dog exercise, play and relaxation. We have a small living room for dogs to play inside if that is a preference. I offer dog walks, small-group boarding, and pet sitting services. When I’m not boarding any pups, I’d love to open my yard and patio space for other pups to enjoy. I live in a quiet neighbourhood, however there is some construction going on in the lot behind my home! There is a large bedrock that runs along one side of the backyard, which makes for some great exploring. There is a blackberry grove next to my yard which is frequented by various wildlife, so there is always lots to smell back there. Please note there is a significant set of stairs you need to go down to reach the lawn area from the patio. The yard is surrounded by 6ft fences, and there is one section that is steep rock - this could potentially be climbed by a VERY determined pup so please keep that in mind. I’m happy to do what I can to make your time here as safe & fun as possible, so please feel free to reach out with your queries & I’ll try my best to accommodate!

The area available is not fenced and is 3.5 acres, situated entirely off the road. The main play space is an heirloom apple orchard with 25+ beautiful old gnarled trees in an unmowed meadow. My own reactive dog loves to spring through the tussocks and uses the trees like an obstacle course. Beyond the meadow is 3.5 acres of hawthorn scrub that’s great for dogs, but not easily human-penetrable. Perfect for letting adventurous dogs have a solo romp if they have good recall. I hope you and your pup(s) enjoy it!!

There is a spot in the back for digging and a place to run in the summer. We have a hose and a sprinkler and a little patio area to sit and let your dog run around while you hang out! We have a covered area where you can sit in case it is raining! we have a bin of toys available just please return them before you leave!

When you book, we put the kids, dogs, and chickens away! There is a side gate entrance to the side yard via Chamberlayne Avenue, with free street parking. Grass, garden, deck, and water feature provide interesting spots to play in and explore.

COMING SOON in JUNE. This is a fully enclosed chicken coop that is 18.5 feet long, meshed. I am converting it into a place for very small dogs to have a safe space to be off leash in a grassy spot with a cover so they are safe from pray birds. It will also be a space where people with adventure cats are free to book, so there will some cat climbing trees. For a cat, please message for details, you will have to book through the Swimply App, as sniff spot is only designed for dog visitors. My vision for this encloser is to have hay grass, a couple of young cedar trees that can be transplanted later when they are getting too big for the enclosure. Some logs/ stumps... trying to recreate a mini forest inside the space. With shade and chairs for humans to sit and relax. I will be adding some agility equipment for small dogs or cats to practice jumping through hoops and doing adorable stuff.
