The yard offers plenty of great 𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩 opportunities to take tons of pictures throughout the various seasons. 🦋 The yard is a 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙃𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩®, we are trying to help nature where and when we can. The flower beds have been designed for local critters - birds, turtles, pollinators, etc so absolutely no killing of any bees, butterflies, spiders, turtles, snakes, birds or other wildlife you may find. It also means you will likely encounter gnats, mosquitos and possibly ticks - all great bird food but not so nice for us humans and our pups. So please be sure your pup is current on their preventatives. We do provide bug spray for you to use - just be sure to use in the lawn and not near any of the flower beds. In the summer months grass may get a little taller to help out the fireflies. If you can, take a cool pic to share - we'd love to see it. 💉𝗩𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦: To help ensure a safe environment for visiting pups and our own, guests will need to provide current 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 for rabies and DHPP (distemper, parvo, etc) for EACH dog visiting. Each dog visiting must have received their full round of puppy vaccines AND must be at least 5 months old. If you have questions, feel free to reach out. Once on file, you are good to go until their renewal date. If the vaccination info is not received 1 hour prior to your start time, your reservation will be cancelled. If you have questions, feel free to reach out. 📆𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦 & 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 - During the summer months we typically setup for 1 hour appointments. If you are interested in an appointment longer than 1 hour, please reach out and we'll see if we can accommodate. 💧 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠 - This is a man-made stream that typically runs in the warmer months and is initially filled with either city water or rainfall. That said, Mother Nature adds to it, so we do recommend your pup have his/her 𝙇𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙤 vaccine. The stream is usually shutdown or just a trickle in the winter months with some water remaining at the end to help support the frogs overwinter. Please do not allow digging or rough play in the stream - we want to keep it in good shape for all our guests to enjoy and avoid costly repairs. If it is important to your visit that the stream is running and at what level (full/trickle) please reach out to the Host to check its status. 🐕 𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧 - Our site is set for a 5 dog limit. If you would like to bring additional dogs, please send a message. The request will be considered on a case by case basis. If you want a key date/time, I recommend securing it with a reservation for one dog and then updating the reservation once we have talked. 🐶 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦 - There are some spots at the bottom of the fence a small dog (cat size) might be able to get under - they are meant for our cats and other wildlife. If you are bringing a small dog, let me know and we can block the openings ahead of time. 🚗 𝗩𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧- 𝑴𝒂𝒙𝒊𝒎𝒖𝒎 𝒐𝒇 2 vehicles per reservation. Easy to get to, we are located right off route 17 & 5 miles from 95, right behind Stafford Lakes. My family has lived in Holly Corner since the 1800s, it is safe and quiet. Our space offers fun for dogs of all ages! We have lots of items to desensitize your pup and allow them to explore in a safe place (swing set, jungle gym, table, chairs) Warm month mornings are typically full sun, while afternoons offer partial shaded areas to cool off after a long day. Other amenities include table with umbrella and chairs, dog toys, shaded dog shack, pooper scooper, poop bags, water bowl, water hose, small dog pool, and agility equipment. We don’t typically use pesticides because we don’t want to harm pollinators, so we offer bug sprays and personal repellents. Our yard is backed up to a wooded area, so it’s frequented by an array at wildlife at times. You likely won’t see them during your visit, but we have seen squirrels, birds, rabbits, deer, frogs, groundhog, and a fox/bats at night (while yard is empty).

Fredericksburg Dog Park at Kenmore Park is a fully fenced enclosure located at 1438 Kenmore Ave in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Only dogs with City of Fredericksburg registration, current rabies vaccination tags, and up to date vaccinations are allowed. The park is limited to 20 canines at a time and has strict rules in place, such as no puppies under four months old, no female dogs in heat, and leashing dogs when entering or exiting the park. Handlers are responsible for controlling their dogs, disposing of waste, and correcting any damage done. The park has amenities like a swimming pool and is open daily, closed dusk to dawn, all year long. Visitors use the park at their own risk, and the City of Fredericksburg is not liable for any injuries or damages. Contact information for the park can be found on their website.

**Potential noise/distraction warning for sensitive dogs: There is a new house being built on a lot near our spot, and sounds from the construction work might disturb some dogs (or people). The timing of the workers is unpredictable and out of our control, but they are finished by 6pm most days, and they haven’t been working most Sundays. If you make a reservation, I will give you a heads up if they are working that day, so that you can decide whether to reschedule.** Description: Let your dog run free in our backyard that has a wooden privacy fence. They can play or lounge under our large weeping willow tree, and we have many other amenities for dogs and people (see pictures and amenities list for details). Seating/shelter: The lower deck has 3 lawn chairs and a canopy for protection from sun/rain. The upper deck (accessible via stairs in the backyard) has 2 rocking chairs and a picnic table with 4 chairs. Use of the shed in the backyard is not an option (it will be locked). Parking: There is easy free street parking in our cul-de-sac, and the entrance gate to our yard is marked with a sign. Operating hours: We are open all day on most Saturdays/Sundays (plus some Fridays and holidays), and on weekday evenings. For after-dark visits, our yard has lighting, and we can also provide a flashlight for you and a clip-on light for your dog (2 available). Note 1: There is a public sidewalk that runs along the outside of the fence on one side of our yard. So, people occasionally walk by (and sometimes have their dog walking with them). The fence is a bit higher than 5 feet on that side, so people can be seen/heard briefly, and a passing dog could be heard/smelled by your dog if they are near the fence at the time. Most people have said this was not a significant issue for their dogs, but I'm stating it here for the awareness of people with more reactive dogs. Note 2: When walking between your vehicle and the gate to our backyard, there may sometimes be other people or dogs on the street/sidewalk or in their front yards. Or there may sometimes be someone from our household leaving or arriving home (which involves walking between the front door and a car in our driveway). So please keep your dog on leash until you are inside the backyard with the gate closed (per standard SniffSpot rules).
